Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy
This policy outlines BeSustain.’s commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across all levels of the organization. DEI is not an accessory to our values — it is foundational to our mission, decision-making, and operations.
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, interns, suppliers, clients, and external partners. It governs recruitment, professional development, compensation, procurement, partnerships, and communications.
BeSustain. recognizes that systemic inequity is real, ongoing, and embedded in many of the norms businesses have historically adopted. We reject performative inclusion and commit to structural transformation. Our approach to DEI is strategic, measurable, and non-negotiable.
4.1 Representation in Decision-Making
Individuals affected by organizational decisions should be represented in shaping them. We integrate this belief into our team structures and stakeholder consultation processes.
4.2 Anti-Bias and Active Equity
We acknowledge that neutrality can reinforce existing bias. We actively audit our recruitment, evaluation, and compensation systems for structural inequity and implement corrective mechanisms.
4.3 Data + Experience
We track and analyze DEI indicators (gender ratio, accessibility scores, underrepresentation) and pair them with qualitative insights from employees and partners.
4.4 Inclusive Language and Narratives
We ensure the language used across BeSustain.’s platforms, documents, and public communications reflects inclusivity and does not reinforce stereotypes.
4.5 Public Accountability
We do not treat DEI as a branding issue. We hold ourselves accountable through transparent reporting, internal review cycles, and open channels for feedback.
Annual DEI training for all employees and leadership
Anonymous DEI feedback mechanism available via internal systems
Monitoring through measurable indicators reviewed annually
Annual public disclosure of DEI progress on the BeSustain. website
Leadership is responsible for ensuring compliance and modeling inclusive behavior
Human Resources leads implementation, training, and monitoring
All team members are expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace
This policy is reviewed and updated annually or when significant structural or organizational changes occur.
